Alstroemeria ‘Lutea’ with its yellow flowers is a beautiful perennial that is actually a tuber but is very suitable for the border. The long ribbon-shaped leaves are medium to dark green. The flowers look a bit lily-like. The flowering time of Alstroemeria is from July to August. Alstroemeria is suitable for any well-drained garden soil. Covering during severe frost is recommended the first year, after that they are hardy. They like a place in the sun.
